          Die Kleine Kapelle

 

DKK is a chamber group comprising from the best young woodwind players in the band. They meet separately on a Friday evening from 5pm – 6pm and play arrangements of well-known classical music, much of which is from the Baroque period but also extends into the 20th century.

 

The current group was reformed in 2017, its predecessor group having dissolved with the onset of University for many of its players.  DKK is available for hire for receptions and dinners etc where pleasant background music can add a special addition to the atmosphere of the occasion.  Money raised from these events goes mostly to band funds although the players do receive a small percentage towards their expenses since they play in Evening Dress.
